Aneury Rodriguez (4-7) picked up the win for the RedHawks with three two-hit innings of relief. Chad Bell (5-5) took the tough-luck loss for the Express, surrendering a run on five hits without walking any and seven strikeouts over six frames.

In the International League, only rain kept Jeff Larish from playing all nine positions in Indianapolis' 2-0 win over Louisville in seven-plus innings. Larish played everything but catcher -- and even earned the save after recording one out as a pitcher in the seventh -- before the game was called early. Relief pitcher Jose Diaz, who checks in at 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, got some time at second base, reached on an error, stole third base and scored in the eighth. Indians' leadoff hitter Chase d'Arnaud was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

Jake Arrieta struck out nine and allowed one run on three hits over five innings to pace Norfolk in its 5-1 win over Gwinnett. Richard Zagone earned a four-inning save after giving up just a hit and fanning four. Bill Hall led the Tides offense, going 2-for-4 with a homer, a double and two RBIs. Felix Pie tripled, doubled and drove in the Braves' only run.

Tim Fedroff's RBI single in the top of the ninth pushed Columbus past Toledo, 4-3. Luke Carlin chipped in a double, two RBIs and a run for the Clippers. Cole Cook didn't allow a run over five three-hit innings, but didn't factor into the decision. On the Mud Hens' side, Audy Ciriaco doubled twice, drove in one and scored once while Ben Guez hit a solo homer.

No. 17 Red Sox prospect Juan Carlos Linares hit a two-run walk-off homer in the 12th inning to give Pawtucket a 6-4 victory over Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Top Boston farmhand Bryce Brentz went 2-for-5 for his first two hits since earning a Triple-A promotion on Aug. 30. Shortstop Jonathan Hee was 3-for-5 with two RBIs and earned the win after pitching a perfect 12th in relief. Former Red Sox outfielder Darnell McDonald hit a solo homer for the Yankees in the loss.

Tsuyoshi Nishioka doubled and drove in two runs for the Red Wings while Brian Dozier supplied a solo blast. Chiefs' leadoff hitter Corey Brown hit a two-run shot for his 25th homer of the season.

Jared Mitchell -- the White Sox's No. 16 prospect -- finished 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored in Charlotte's 5-3 win over Durham in a rain-shortened seven-inning affair. Matt Zaleski gave up just a run on six hits over five innings in the victory. Nevin Ashley was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Bulls.
